HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN, UNIVERSITAS HAJI SUMATERA UTARA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengetahuan aktivitas fisik di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas ilmu kesehatan di Universitas Haji Sumatera Utara (UNHAJ) sertakorelasi tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan prestasi akademik dan tingkat kepercayaan diri. Metode penelitian dengan Studi analitik potong lintang terhadap 244 mahasiswa sarjana Farmasi dan Prodi lainnya di UNHAJ dari Januari hingga April 2024. Studi ini menggunakan versi singkat dari International Physical Activity Questinonnaire (IPAQ-SF) dan versi ketiga dari Behavioural Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire (BREQ-3). Untuk mengetahui bagaimana variabel studi berhubungan satu sama lain, model regresi berganda digunakan dengan menggunakan versi 20 dari SPSS. Hasil: Hanya 19,4% siswa perempuan berada dalam kelompok Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA), dibandingkan dengan setengah dari siswa laki-laki (80,6%). Siswa HEPA aktif memiliki peluang dua kali lipat lebih besar daripada siswa HEPA non-aktif (OR =1,89, 95% CI [1,09, 3,27], P = 0,023). Siswa laki-laki memiliki peluang aktif HEPA lebih besar daripada siswa perempuan (OR = 3,16, 95% CI [1,61, 6,14], P = 0,01), dan siswa dengan berat badan berlebih memiliki peluang lebih besar daripada siswa dengan berat badan normal (OR = 2,58, 95% CI [1,24, 5]. Hasil memperlihatkan Perempuan tidak aktif secara fisik daripada laki-laki. Selain itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi akademik dan tingkat aktivitas fisik. Siswa yang aktif secara HEPA berprestasi akademik lebih baik daripada siswa yang tidak aktif secara HEPA
