Pelatihan Herbarium Kering Sebagai Penunjang Media Pembelajaran Sains Dan Kerajinan Tangan Pada Kalangan Siswa

Abstract


Herbarium is a technique for drying and preserving plants that is not widely known among secondary school students. Herbariums have excellent potential for more realistic learning media and handicrafts. This service activity aims to provide training to students in making herbariums both as a teaching medium and as a handicraft to increase students' understanding and hone their creativity. This training will be carried out at SMPN 1 Belantikan Raya with a target of class VII where there is a chapter on plant morphology which requires students to be able to identify plant parts correctly. Herbarium training will also involve teaching staff (teachers) with easy techniques and handling of herbarium so that it has a long shelf life, so that it can be used as learning media for the following school year.This training was carried out in several stages, namely the process of drying plants, preserving and displaying. This herbarium training activity includes taking a questionnaire regarding the effectiveness of using the herbarium as a learning medium and handicraft arts.
