PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KOMIK DIGITAL MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI PIXTON UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 060886 MEDAN BARU T.A 2024/2025

Abstract


This research is an R&D research using the ADDIE model which aims to evaluate the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of digital comic learning media based on the pixton application. This type of research is development research (R&D). The subjects of this research were teachers and students with 20 students in class IV of SD Negeri 060886 Medan Baru. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique is carried out using two analyses, namely qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions, while quantitative data analysis is carried out by carrying out validity analysis, media practicality analysis, and media effectiveness analysis. The research results showed that validation of feasibility by material experts reached 84% in the Very Feasible category, validation by media experts of 80% was also considered Feasible. The practicality test carried out by educational practitioners showed a teacher response of 94% which was considered Very Practical, and a student response of 90.32% which was also classified as Very Practical. Students' reading skills showed an average pre-test of 32% in the category of Not Passing or Not Having Reached Graduation Standards, while the post-test reached 77% which was assessed in the category of Passing or Fulfilling Learning Goal Achievement Criteria (KTTP). From these results, it can be concluded that digital comic learning media using the Pixton application is feasible, practical and effective for improving the reading skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 060886 Medan Baru.
