STUDI DESKRIPTIF PREFERENSI PEMILIHAN PASANGAN PADA PEREMPUAN DEWASA AWAL DITINJAU DARI KETERLIBATAN AYAH

Abstract


Masa dewasa awal adalah masa krusial dalam perkembangan individu, di mana individu mulai mengeksplorasi diri dan membangun hubungan romantis yang lebih intim, hubungan yang terbentuk dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Oleh karena itu, pemilihan pasangan menjadi keputusan yang penting dalam hidup. Namun, preferensi dalam memilih pasangan dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya yaitu faktor keterlibatan ayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis secara deskriptif preferensi pemilihan pasangan pada perempuan dewasa awal ditinjau dari keterlibatan ayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan partisipan sebanyak 418 partisipan yang merupakan perempuan dewasa awal berusia 18 hingga 25 tahun, belum menikah, masih memiliki ayah, dan pernah tinggal bersama ayah. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Father Involvement Scale (FIS) yang dikembangkan oleh Finley dan Schwartz (2004) dan alat ukur Mate Preferences Questionnaire (MPQ) yang dikembangkan oleh (Buss, 1989b). Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif, menunjukkan bahwa preferensi pemilihan pasangan pada perempuan dewasa awal yang mempersepsikan ayahnya terlibat aktif dan yang menginginkan ayahnya lebih terlibat aktif tidak begitu berbeda, mereka sama-sama menganggap penting atau memprioritaskan karakteristik dependable character, emotional stability and maturity, dan mutual attraction and love. Hanya satu kategori yang sedikit berbeda, yaitu perempuan dewasa awal yang ingin ayahnya sedikit terlibat menganggap karakteristik similar religious background penting.
