ANALISIS KESULITAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN YANG DIHADAPI SISWA KELAS I SDS ANGKASA 2 LANUD SOEWONDO MEDAN POLONIA
Abstract
The problem in this study is that students who are not yet able to read during class learning, have difficulty identifying letters and arranging letters, spelling hesitantly, pronouncing words incorrectly, not understanding the contents of the reading, and having difficulty concentrating. This study aims to determine the problems that occur related to difficulties in beginning reading in Class I students of SDS Angkasa 2 Lanud Soewondo Medan. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 27 students of class I SDS Angkasa 2 Lanud Soewondo Medan. The results of the study showed that the highest aspect of students' difficulty in beginning reading was difficulty in reading short texts with a score of 17%. The next difficulty in beginning reading was in the aspect of fluency in reading simple sentences with a score of 32%. Another difficulty experienced by students was difficulty in reading meaningless words at 36%. Then the difficulty in the aspect of reading words with a score of 53.61%. The last aspect of reading difficulty was the aspect of recognizing letters which reached 79.61%
