PERSPEKTIF MASYARAKAT DESA TERHADAP FENOMENA CHILDFREE (STUDI MASYARAKAT DESA WONOREJO, BLITAR)

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Childfree is a problem that is considered as something that deviates from the social construction of the community that believes that the purpose of marriage is to form a family consisting of fathers, mothers and children. Referring to the village of Wonorejo, Blitar Regency, this study aims to find out the perspective of its community on the phenomenon of Childfree. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with several theoretical approaches, namely phenomenology, liberal feminism, and social construction. The results of this study indicate that the majority of Wonorejo villagers view that children are an entity and a valuable asset that will also have its own value so that the existence of children is what is needed.

ABSTRAK
Childfree menjadi sebuah problematika yang dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang menyimpang dari konstruksi sosial masyarakat yang mempercayai bahwa tujuan dari menikah adalah membentuk keluarga yang terdiri dari ayah, ibu, dan anak. Dengan merujuk pada Desa Wonorejo Kabupaten Blitar penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perspektif masyarakatnya terhadap fenomena Childfree. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan beberapa pendekatan teori, yakni fenomenologi, feminisme liberal, dan konstruksi sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas masyarakat Desa Wonorejo memandang bahwa anak merupakan sebuah entitas dan suatu aset berharga yang kelak juga memiliki nilainya tersendiri sehingga keberadaan anak merupakan suatu yang diperlukan.
