Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze mathematics learning strategies through out-of-class activities and their benefits for class III students. This research uses a qualitative approach to explore their views and experiences in implementing mathematics learning through activities outside the classroom. Research data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, with research subjects namely class III A and B teachers. The research results show that this strategy is able to increase students' understanding of abstract mathematical concepts, such as comparison, measurement and geometry, by linking theory to concrete experience, for example through direct observation in the library or school environment. This research concludes that mathematics learning based on out-of-class activities is not only effective in improving learning outcomes, but also contributes to the development of student character, such as cooperation, social skills and a sense of responsibility. This strategy is recommended as an alternative innovative learning method in elementary schools.
